Potty Training
Well I started the dreaded potty training, once again! And like Jeanette says, once Gavin is done, i'm done with potty training! YEA! I swear this has to be the hardest thing. Weaning off bottles was not this bad! So on Monday I felt like I could not do this again. I felt like I had a "new puppy" in the house again. I had puddles of pee everywhere! I was mopping, runing with towels, washing endless pairs of underware, and tag-teaming with Justin (I need a towel, I need the mop!). So after a long morning, I resulted back into the pull-ups! I started officially on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. I figured start fresh again. Tuesday turned out to be a better day. He woke up and wanted to go on the potty right away, so he started off on the right foot. I kept up with him every 20 minutes, and had him sit on the potty for a few minutes reading books. Wednesday was not bad, he had two accidents all day. Today is the third day now and he's been going consistently and telling me he has to go. The only problem I have, and I guess if I can say it's a problem, he doesn't want to pee in his diaper tonight! So he's now screaming upstairs to go potty! The good news is he went poop on the potty! So that was exciting! John's still not home from work (8:45 PM), i'm beat, I want to relax and I have a 2 1/2 year old yelling to go potty from his crib! I guess now I have to work on weaning off the juice cup next! Does it end? I took pictures, but i'll post them tomorrow!

Autism Surfer's Day at Brick Beach III

Brandon had a great time surfing with the hunky guys! I had a great time taking the pictures. Oh, if I was only 20 years younger and single...
Okay back to reality...This was actually "our" first experience at a real beach. Yes, folks, I have to confess, I never have taken my poor, deprived children to the beach! So needless to say, they were all very excited to actually touch real beach sand for the first time.

Gavin's first day at the beach! He was a little scared of the sand and the water. He held his ears because of the noise, but once we were there for a little while he got more and more comfortable with it. He did cling onto Brianna, our babysitter, for most of the time. Either I was holding him or Brianne was holding him.
