Our Trip to the Cape May Zoo

We went to the Cape May Zoo in July. It turned out to be a bit hot, but we went early enough, so it wasn't too bad walking around. It is a nice zoo to visit, you just give a donation at the gate and have a nice walk around. It's big too.

Wow the Zoo has a donation cup only to get into. I am originally from NJ, left in 1985. Growing up in New Providence we went down to Cape May every summer in the 70s.

I sure do miss porkroll sandwiches, Stewart's Root Beer and fresh white castle burgers.

My son wants to work at the LA Zoo and likes to learn about other Zoos, so we will check out the Cape May zoo website. He wants to see Philadelphia Zoo.

Hello - Yes, when you enter the zoo, the same older man sits in the booth. He hands out the zoo booklets and there is a donation cup. It's a nice place for us to take the kids, especially with our son Brandon, who is autistic. There tends to be less people grouped together, since the zoo layout is kind of spread out.

It's funny you mention porkroll...since my parents moved to Florida they cannot get porkroll down there either. Funny!
